Looks like my text didn't show unless you highlight as if you were going to cut and paste.

Stumped by how to get the lens with the gasket into the bucket. Any suggestions would be appreciated

bent the rim on the bucket back just a bit where the split is and applied pressure. It went in and I used a small ball pein hammer go bend the metal back in.

Bill,

are those buckets new or newly plated?

If everything seems under control, you're just not going fast enough.

I lubed it up with soap, and used a string around it, put the gasket in the bucket, pressure on the lense, and pulled the string out like installing a front windshield. Similar to Bill's trick, but no bending. Can't remember exactly what the gasket looked like, been awhile. HTH

I asked Pugh Metals to do them in Shiny Silver.

What did you use to clean them up before you sent them to Pugh's metal. I want to prep mine just like that.

I just stripped the paint and cleaned with some squirt soap stuff, probably Fantastic.
