it's acceptable if he was broke, blew the turbo engine to shreds, had a carb engine sitting doing nothing and most importantly, lost a leg in a nasty accident.

Otherwise you're quite right Harry, it's a disgrace!

Looks like it's just got turbo flares, front airdam and spoiler to me.

Wait, now that I look at it, it's got a lot of turbo parts. Is the VIN within range for turbos?

the vin plate appears to be fastened with screws. every other '02 i've seen has rivets.

need to see a clear photo of the inner fender stamp before i believe it's really a turbo.

Red upholstery with black door panels? Hmm...

Also, you can just buy the under-hood stickers and VIN plate from a number of stores. Though that doesn't explain the red dash face and gauge box. I'm going to assume this isn't a real turbo until I know more about it.

Did Turbos have snorkel nose panels? This one looks like it has.

Engine bay would have been Chamonix or Polaris originally, not what appears to be black.

What a mess!

The idiot PO painted it spray paint black instead of removing the engine for the cheap-ass paint job. It's just a way to cover up the fact that you're not going to paint the car properly....and to get black paint on all the wiring.

But if he swapped the turbo motor for the carb'd motor, why not paint the engine compartment then?

It looks pretty nice, but something isn't right.

I'd have a real turbo already! There are a couple that come up for sale over and over again on Yahoo auction for around 18g but they never sell. THey look like good original cars although I haven't seen them in person so who knows. This guy is just fishing. Too bad if its real. If he'd let it go for 2 grand i'd try to save it. Most likely it will sit at his house for another 15 years because no one will pay him what he thinks its worth. It'll probably rot. Too bad!
