That's right, it's sand blasting day. finally.

Just stand back and let that huge diesel powered 3000 cfm compressor do it's magic.

Thought i'd share some moments.

holy crap, for a second there I thought it was 2001, a Space Odessy!

I did something similar, although not as effective, put my car up on a fork lift, and got under it with a pressure washer....all the old grease and oil from underneath came off and I discovered a few hidden rust zones while I was at it. I should have had a space suite on like you though. My wife's car was downwind and it smelled like 35-year old grease for a week.

I'd be getting some primer on it pretty quick with all that snow around. Like the tire idea too. Beaner7102

bounces off. Sandblasters who letter gravestones mask them off with thin sheet rubber...nice trick to know if you're gonna sandblast some wheels and don't want to remove the tires...

Glad you like it, as for the bushings and other stuff its all coming apart, all getting overhauled.

The car was actually quit easy to flip on it's side.

This just saves me so much time and aggravation, everything is going to get coated in por-15 and then gravel gaurded(special hard rubber coating) and then painted.

The war against rust is nearing an end and i'm winning!

Seriously, did the body wrinkle, dent, visibly change shape, at all from being on it's side?

Actually no, his nozzel tip it not small ceramic, the ceramic ones are very small and concentrated in one little spray thus producing alot of heat and metal thining.

This guy's nozzel is much bigger so the spay covers more area and is less concentrated, less concentrated but backed with alot of pressure over a larger area. therefor not producing as much heat. I sprayed all the undersides of the hood and trunk and nothing warped. The only thing i did not do was the outer panals. but all the window frames, door jams, engine bay, every crack got blasted.

The flipping on the side was very easy and with tires no damage.

We took the right side tires off lowered the car down on rotors and then jacked up the left side to about 45 degrees.

With two guys we lifted it up gentlly onto the tires.

It's actually quit lit.

The reason the subframes are stil on the car is to facilitate moving it around.
