I read one guy wanting to try it, Did it work, looks similar but a little shorter, maybe 7/8 of an inch.

Anyone want to trade for an inline for the intake unit? I need more parts.

Yes, you need a later model E30 in tank pump, the earlier cars had 2. one under the car and then the in-tank for transfer. later model (like late 87 and up i think, check realoem.com for sure) had a high pressure pump right in the tank.

My parts car was an 88 and had only 1 pump, but does it include the sender or is it on the other side of the fuel tank?

Looking for cheapest easiest way to do this, Thanks

i have both an 87 and an 88

87 has 2 like he said but the 88 has 1 and the sender is integral to the pump or at least it attaches to the intank pump. so thats all youd need

I'm going to use one of those pumps.. Do you have to do anything funky to get the standard 2002 fuel guage to work with that e30 style pump and sender?

or can you just hook it up ?

Sweet ass, That means I don't have to spend so much and buy a new one. woo hooo. This car better drive nice and be fun or else I will be ticked, I am spending alot of time getting this thing right.

Stripped, repaint, fixed steering, new tunnel etc. etc. No rust when I am done (pretty good to start). I see light!!!!!

I am using aftermarket guages, will they work with the bimmer sender?

You guys are great, so much help.
