My car is absolutely devouring Brake Fluid...

And I have no idea where it is going. Ive had the car up on a lift, and I still can't see any massive leaks or anything. Im overhauling the brakes this week, so Id like to get this figured out. Anyway, so yesterday my fluid was back to being low after I had completely refilled it on Wednesday due to the same situation. Today, I felt the brakes starting to lose their bite, and sure enough, the fluid was practically out again. Anyone had this happen to them? I had a new master cylinder put on a couple of months ago.

Your master cylinder could be damaged or defective. Check for fluid in your pedal box. This is best done from inside the car. You might be able to stick a pencil or something thru the pedal slots in the carpet and use it as a dipstick. If it comes up wet with fluid something is wrong.

Clutch master!!! look in the pedal box and check the box pad for saturation.

yeah, its probably in the pedal box. I got that nice surprise while underneath the car before. I think I saw in a search that a leaking master cylinder drains down into there somehow.

Does the clutch cylinder drain there too?

Anyway, I changed my brake master cylinder, and mine hasn't lost any fluid since at all. I've also switched to super blue fluid tho, and its thickness tends to seal up leaks.

On it's underside and drips down the front of the booster and all over the frame and peels the paint. It will not leak into the booster. The clutch master cylinder leaks into the pedal box.

There are two seals in the brake master. The first is the real seal the second seals fluid from going into the booster. In between the two, is the leak-off hole.

A radiator shop is a good place to take a leak.

I have no idea what I'm doing but I know I'm really good at it.

And don't forget, if brake fluid ends up on any painted surface, you'll be down to bare metal in a hurry. Make sure you at least clean and prime anywhere the brake fluid has leaked. You might want to do some more serious rustproofing in those areas, too.

Im having the same problem. I dont know where the liquid is going and pedalbox seems to be dry. however when I touched the lines coming out of the reservoir and after giving them a light squeeze, fluid seeped out and my fingers got wet. Ived checked the part sites but i cant seem to find the hoses for these. Does anyone know where I can buy these hoses?
