the 72tii is a 51 litre and my 70 is 46 litre. im assuming its just deeper but want to confirm. im running a late model quarter panel on that side so the nozzle pickup isnt an issue.

If you install the tii tank - you'll have to fabricate some kind of closure for the additional hole in the top. (Welding is a bit too scary IMHO on an old tank). I'd try to get a carbed tank WITH the appropriate sending unit, if you intend to go bigger in capacity. Larger tanks are DEEPER and you'll never "get" the last few gallons without a longer sending unit / pickup.

I'd save the tii tank for a tii owner in need (I'm funny that way) - and find a decent 51 liter unit WITH sender. That's what I did on my own car - no regrets!

thanks paul but i wasnt interested in the extra capacity but rather i want it for my m2. i have a carbed car and i thought it would be easier for my fuel injection set up. see where im going here?
