OK, I think I know the answer but just want to confirm. I am wrapping up a stock rebuild for a carb'ed M10 motor. I tore down two-and-a-half engines to make one good one. So now I've a nice clean, shiney new engine and it is almost back together. But the upper and lower seal kits I purchased have all of these "extra" different sized aluminum washers, a couple of large O-rings and a few other items that I definitly didn't see when I tore down these engines nor have I ever seen in the four years I have been working on the stock, de-smogged engine that is currently in my 02. Might these "extra" parts be for the fuel injection system of a tii, or some of the smog related parts? Or, OH NO!! have I left out the do-hicky that makes the whole thing run? Seriously, what are all of these washers and other stuff for?

The older I get the better I was!

Every motor ive ever built or head ive replaced comes with extra parts for different variants. assuming you replaced everything you took off with a new part you should be fine. make a nice necklace with the extra gaskets
