Solex side drafts vs Weber side drafts

Recommended Posts

This has probally been debated on here before but i couldn't seem to find too much on it in the archives other than the Solex versions are getting harder to find parts for, and on some engines the webers are better. Wondering if anyone can help me out on this. Thanks

my bro (jetboy on here) just got a set of the solex side drafts for his 70, so i'm curious how they perform as well. I guess its been pissing down in SF so they're still sitting around his apartment wating for a day off + no rain.

As Todd said, parts are a bit harder to come by... I took my set to a carb specialist and told me that the chokes were a bit hard to find. Apparently the same carb is used on a Benz of some description though...

In the 1500, BMW not only found the long-term solution to its dire business straits but, more importantly, created an entirely new

    The BMW 2002 Production Run

BMW 02 series are like the original Volkswagen Beetles in one way (besides both being German classic cars)—throughout their long production, they all essentially look alike—at least to the uninitiated:  small, boxy, rear-wheel drive, two-door sedan.  Aficionados know better.   Not only were there three other body styles—none, unfortunately, exported to the US—but there were some significant visual and mechanical changes over their eleven-year production run.   I’ve extracted t
