The bar will be anodized and will retail for $99

Yes, it is there and yes, he is driving it in San Diego. Should be fun. We are leaving Thursday morning, so the car is there for another day.

Forgive my ignorance, but woulnt it be better to mount all three points of the strut top into the strut brace?

I would think there would be uneven reinforcement on the strut top. Not trying to have a go at it, maybe you could explain the principle, I have never seen this type of strut mount style.

I'm keen on getting a brace and would be happy to support FAQ :-)

Sparco strut bars for the E30M3 are made with a similar mounting design using only two of the strut bolts on each side. These bars are very popular with the E30M3 crowd.

I may be putting my foot in my mouth here as I make my living testing pub stools...but is it wise to use heim joints at the ends of the bar? It seems to me as though such a design would allow the entire strut-bar-strut structure to move under load, side-to-side, like a parallelogram.

Just wondering! :)

Yes they do but their design has bottom bracket that you need to drill a hole in your car and fasten with a bolt and nut.

Actually, the bar works on either compression under normal driving or tension under hard cornering. Heim joints can support those loads.

Those are Advanced Design by Ground Control. Youhave to make custom struts to fit those. They do not make an insert to fit a 2002 strut tube.

$99 ?? That's my budget!! How soon?

I'm contemplating making my own as well. I bought a Hartge for my e21 and it came with an extra bar that I'm considering adapting to homemade tower brackets.
