Chris from La Honda gave me (yes, GAVE ME) his 67 1600. What a GREAT guy! The car is actually really neat. It has a weber carb and 320i sport seats, a great suspention and cool wheels!

It will be my new daily driver while my other 67 1600 gets put back together with all of its hot rod parts. It's going to be so freaking cool. Here's what I have piled up so far in the garage waiting to be bolted on:

14" basket weaves with Falken Azenis Sports

Ireland coil over suspention with front and rear monster bars

all new Ireland poly bushings

tii rear swing arms

Ireland brembo single line front brakes

9.5:1 motor with dual 45 webers

headers

tii rear exhaust

5 speed from a 320i and associated conversion parts

3.91 LSD from said 320i

momo wheel

the shift knob from my very first '02 which rusted out (kept it from way back in 1983)

sheel mann seats

4 point roll cage

4 point racing seat belts

jobs and parts still waiting or missing:

weld rear Ireland subframe brackets

sandblast and powdercoat rear subframe and swing arms

sandblast and jet hot coat headers

buy 320i rear drum setup or a rear disc kit

buy steaks and beer so I can invite some friends over to bolt the whole thing together as soon as the weather clears up

Oh, and get this all done prior to first race of season March 23.

Actually Chris did a nice write up on this car on his blog at http://www.sundaybender.com

As you can see, he did a great deal of work on the car.

I'm going to continue in his tradition and run this car through the 2006 Golden Gate chapter Autocross season.
