Importing exporting vintage (02s) cars to USA

Anyone familiar with the laws, taxes, tarifs and customs issues involed in importing/exporting vintage cars into USA? I have found some nice unmolested well maintained 02s in europe and I am interested importing them. Has anyone in this forum ever imported or exported vintage cars into the USA?

I imported my Turbo from the Neatherlands last year. I used Wallenius Wilhelmen Lines to ship it. Shippping wasnt that bad. I think it cost less that 1500.00 to ship. There really is no problem getting the car here. Its age exempts it from many laws that that would fall on a new car, like bumbers, lights ect... You will need someone here in the USA to do the paper work before the arrival of the car at the port. The shipping company you use should have a list of people you can call that is close to the port you will have it shipped to. I believe the seller will have to help you arrange the booking of it on thier side. Registering it here is not hard but its time consuming (at least thats how it is in California). No, I only brought over the Turbo. There are a couple of other fiats on the other side. Someone likes Fiats. In the front of the row there was a ferari. It was like a car show there. Thanks for the complement!
