about it though....well over one-half to two-thirds of ALL bids were put in by bidders with "0" to "2" prior transactions on ebay. Very few experienced ebayers actually bid on this car! I smell a rat!

Um, didn't the US spec cars have holes where the 'federalized' markers went? or are the 'federalized' side markers stickers?

in the picture of the stripped down car, there are no holes in the front under the turn signal indicator. Then in the completed car picture, there are those US spec side markers

New fenders come without the holes for the front side markers.

That's why my car ended having side markers only in the rear quarters. Didn't wanrt to drill holes in the new fenders.

Nice car. If the auction is legit, then that's a good thing. As for the restoratrion, it looks pretty nice in my eyes. The price is definitly worth it if someone wants to just "buy" a done car. Not everyone wants to "build" their dream car. In my opinion it's money well spent. Ask Michael Dubois how much it would cost to do a paint restoration like that. And thats just paint and body. Look at BLUNT's prices for trim just to gat a small idea of prices for finishing the car. Also, judging from the tires, if they were installed at the time of the restoration, the car was done quiet some time ago so its certainly "aged" well. I've restored a few muscle cars(Camaros and Mopars) and I'll tell you, rust repair and paint products are getting real expensive. Not to mention labor.

Good point, people pay 40-50 even 60k for a new american potato SUV. Your basically getting a "new" 02 in 2006

just seems strange the way the bidding went. None of our business actually. As long as everyone is happy with the selling and purchase price, that's all that matters.

Wow...that is quite an amazing price for a Tii. Maybe I should put mine on the bay...my '73 is just as nice and I have a complete photo shoot of the car's restoration in progress like this guy had. It will be interesting to watch the feedback of the seller and buyer to see if the transaction actually takes place.
