Car is a USA '72 Baikal, numbers matching tii. It's in the body shop having the rust repaired and getting a new paint job.

Originally I wanted this car to be completely stock, and for us in the USA, that means side markers. I like the markers and would keep them, but I want to see what others say.

Thanks,

Makes me a little nervous because those taillights are not the brightest.

My thinking was that the front turn signals/parking lights are visible from the side, but the round taillights aren't visible at all from the side--the lights there seemed like a good idea.

I also wish I'd replaced the reflectors on the rear panel with rear sidemarkers, then wired them into the brake-light circuit for a little extra lighting in the rear. I may still do that, as it would only take a hole saw and some balls to drill into good paint. Having been rear-ended once makes me extra cautious about rear lighting!

I say keep them. I think the car looks odd without them. The only ones I could possibly live without are the front orange ones beneath the turn signal lights...all the others need to be there though.
