I haven't gotten the chance to make a webpage, but I stashed all of my pics from today here:

http://www2.hawaii.edu/~kfunk/Feb23/

It's a little dirty, but that shows the current state.

Next steps as I get to them:

-file, sand, por-15, and cover-up those rusty spots

-re-cover recaro seats in tan, which are hiding under the cheap seatcovers.

-decent stereo

-windshield seal

-do a better job of carpeting trunk. (thats just sitting in there because it was free, and loosely shaped right, and keeps toolbox from sliding)

-create box to protect fuel pump

-clean up and polish most everything under hood

-replace brake reservoir (bracket broken, spare ready to install, just don't feel like bleeding everything again)

-re-wire basically everything under hood. Rip out stock conduit, which is mostly bypassed anyways.

-fuel pump block-off plate

-polish valve cover

-paint rusty brackets and such

-E30 wheels of some sort maybe

-sways, urethane bushings (depending on future of AX here)

and numerous other things im forgetting.

Feel free to criticize anything, as I'm fairly new to the 2002 world. Just got this car over the summer, and I still have some learning to do.

Thanks.

You should not need to bleed the system. Just suck the reservoir empty - don't touch the pedal - change it - fill it - if you see any bubbles coming from the hoses let them come out - try it.

But be prepared for the bleeding anyway.

Yeah, I was thinking about that, but didn't wanna sound dumb for asking. Seems like gravity should keep bubbles from getting down in the system. The plastic bracket has broken out on mine, and its just zip tied in place. I grabbed a good one from a parts car, and its sittin on my desk.

not as easy as it seemed at first. It's from an Acura Integra, but I have no idea what year. I got it for $10.

The dimensions match up fine, but the metal of the frame hits the wheel well. That was described in a previous thread about fitting integra seats. Supposedly you just needed to cut a little with tin snips, but after that, mine still didn't want to sit flush. I don't think mine is from the same model of Integra as the other guy. I had to use a hacksaw to cut out some of the frame. It fits just fine now, and still seems as sturdy, as there's lots of other metal to support it. The bottom part is just sitting in place, and seems sturdy enough as is. I may screw on a bracket tho in the location of the tab on the stock seat.

Otherwise, the only visible mismatch were the little patches that were left uncovered at the corners of the seats. I just used some scraps of the carpet that came with the seats, and covered up the blue paint that was left exposed.

But yes, if you want a blue seat like that, its free if you pay for shipping. Still sitting here and taking up space. Unfortunately it doesn't have the trunk carpeting attached, though.
