320i steering wheel fitting

How does the steering wheel for a 320i attach on a 2002?

My existing stock wheel has a central pad that comes off to reveal the nut attaching the wheel to the column. This BMW 320i stock wheel has a continous "rubber" coating, including the central pad. There does not seem to be access to the end of the steering column, once the wheel is on to attach a nut. Am I missing something, or am I wrong about this wheel fitting on a 2002? I swear I have seen them on 2002's.

The roundel on the 320i wheel needs to be carefully removed to gain access to the nut area. Be careful not to scratch it.

Excellent "How too" that is what I used for mine. The entire horn "button" comes off though, not just the roundel. It should just "pop" off.

Is anybody running the 4 spoke style from the 320i? The write up says it has a 1" smaller diameter. This sounds like a great way to get an upgraded wheel with the stock look. Anybody done this?

i use one....not so much because it's smaller but it's one piece instead of having the seperate center...i just think it looks cleaner...

You're right, I looked up some more pictures of the 320i wheel and it does look much cleaner. I'm going to look into getting one. Thanks.
