the milkman used to deliver his bottles of milk to that lovely chrome bar.

see - leaving them on the doorstep, the birds would peck at the foil tops, and drink away the cream tops, the wee blighters.

So the international milkmans union of milkmen deliverers got together with Some German called Von Faulkhausen.

(See the Bavarians are partial to a bit of cow juice in the AM - helps with the tummy aches from sinking litres of Pilsner the night before. Lager louts.)

Anyway =- Mister V F came up with the BMW milk bar. Its sort of like a regular bar, but it doesnt strut very well, but stops the milk from falling over when you drive.

saw one on ebay - jersey once.

i kinda like em. i consider it car jewlery, not too blingy and period correct. i got a set i'm gonna use on my late 71. the front piece also comes with vintage scraps and bruises for the proper 'patina' look.

Seriously - it was a dealer installed option.

I forget what they call em now. The rear once actually look OK - accentuates the horizontal chrome strip between the roundie light clusters.

Its bothering me i cannot recall what they are known as....sorry man.
