I'm getting ready to sand down the rusty spots on my body, POR-15 them, and cover them up. Just a temp. fix until I can re-paint the whole car someday. I checked with the dealer, and they would only sell me a tiny jar for $26. I'd much rather use spray paint. I checked with the local parts store, and they couldn't order it. In any case, the factory Riviera won't match mine anyways, since the paint has 30 yrs. of fading.

Anyways, I think I'll just try to find some other kind of touch-up paint or regular spray paint that closely matches my color.

Got any ideas for colors that might work?

It'll go at the corner of the rear windows, a strip across the top of the windshield, and various other little pieces. The closest I've found so far is 'old Ford blue.'

Got any ideas for 'fading' a new paint real quick to give it a duller haze?

a machine (Merlin for PPG?) that scans the paint and comes up with the color formulation. A well-established experienced shop will have a human who can do this!

+ elbow grease = fresh paint that will match better. There is little you can do to put 30 years of oxidation into the pigments but you can compound & buff out the car. I'd suggest doing that BEFORE you look for a paint match because if not you'll get a match to the old paint and when you wetsand to blend it in it will show even more.

You can buy at a number of places including:
