Anybody here know BMWNA's policy - employee parts purchases.

Turns out my cousin works at a BMW dealership in N. Texas. I hear that the employees get good pricing.

Is there any limit on how much somebody can buy without getting into trouble? I need about to buy several thousands of dollars worth of stuff for my cars.

I remembered this after I saw him last time, thought there might be somebody here who knows.

...anyway - it's a employee discount - usually 10%

above dealer cost on parts - my 1976 2002 and

1985 BMW R65 motorcycle have $1000's in parts

and ther is no limit - the dealer still makes alittle

on all that sales -

The key is having all your part numbers ready so

the parts folks are'nt inconvienced . You should purchase

the BMW Parts Catalog and Repair Manuals on CD

so your an educated 2002 caregiver.

where i buy my stuff the employees are allowed all they like but they frown upon employees purchasing for others. i would imagine it depends on the relationship people have with the parts manager.
