I posted a similar question on Feb. 15th. "Camshaft Question" . . . check it out. There was good informative dialogue, especially from John_a.

I'm interested in learning more as well because I own an S14 crank and someday I'll get around to building a stroker.

It's my understanding that you'll need to have a machine shop do a little work to the crank and bottom timing cover. It's possible that you may need a different R Main seal which may require some work as well. It's not supposed to be that bad and I picked up my S14 crank for about $100 or $150 only a year ago. I believe that you can use the M10 rods and whatever piston size you want. It SHOULD give you a few extra ponies depending on what the complete job is. Some race motors get upwards of 200hp while a more mild stock motor would get 150hp.

It would be nice for someone with one to chime in and give us the real scoop. I also am under the impression that it's not that much more expensive than doing a full 2.0L rebuild - just the cost of the crank and a little extra for the labor to modify the M10 for the S14 crank. It's a good inexpensive way to get up to the 150HP range for a street car.

Unless you buy a used running S14 motor you're talking BUKO $$$. To rebuild one of those you're talking big big money, and then you have to do the conversion. The stroked M10 is much cheaper and easier IMHO.
