im getting ready to drill for my passenger mirror and wanted to check as i cant find a dimension im mike mc carthys resto guide. i see the drivers door and im wondering if its the same measurments. i know some 911's are set back to clear the wing window. anyone have for sure info on whats correct so i dont drill into my new door incorrectly?

thanks, i have that too. are you saying both sides are the same and theres no set back on the pass side??

1. take some stiff paper and place it on the driver's door so that it covers the mirror bracket mounting holes. mark and cut along the leading edge of the door, so that and the paper's edge (set along the lip that forms the windw sill) will give you two dimensions.

2. Mark the mounting hole's centers on your template

3. Turn the template over and it'll work on the pax side.

Easier than trying to measure on a curved surface...
