In the archives, all I could find is that its attached with 'metal clips and things.'

I could only find a single bolt in front, and removing it didn't help. I've pried up each side, and don't see any way of getting it to release. Same goes for the back and bottom....

It's a 74 by the way.

nevermind, just had to pull up on the front enough to slide in a gigantic pry bar, then all was solved as the clips popped out. Now I gotta sweep up the crap.

there should be a bolt in the center under the seats on the verticle sheet of metal, more toward the right of the car but only about 4 inches. you need to undo the bottom pad first to get the back rest out. once you undo this bolt grab the seats wher your knee pitts would be and pull them up toward the top of the back window, they should pop out, dont worrie your not gonna break anything. once you do that its pretty easy to see what to do next.
