I am finally looking into getting a new set of wheels now that my engine restoration is complete. After reading the forums for months now, I still cannot decide of the type of wheels I should run. I am definitely going with the BBS RS/RA/RM look, but cant decide what size, 14's or 15's.

I will be running the stock ride height so I am not too worried about running 15's considering I should have room for at least 190/60/15's. Any thoughts?

Is anyone running 7.5" wide tires in the rear? How about 7" all the way around. Thanks for the advice.

Hi guys....I'd like to also hear about others who are running 7"ers. I'm considering adding long longer studs to accomidate for a wheel that a buddy of mine has for me, they are 7" wheels. Thanks for the thread....Dave.

I would definitly re-think the 196/60 idea. I would suggest the 195/55's as the tallest I'd go. I think Grover on this site is looking to sell a set of tires in 195/55's. You may even see his car so you can get an idea of the tire height.

RayC911, your car looks hot. I'll have to see it in person.

Here's my car with 15x7 Superlights with 195/55/15's. Due to the less than perfect offset as well as lowered ride height I have some trouble with inner wheel well rubbing when making tight turns, especially if the springs are under heavy load at the same time. I'm going to remove these tires and go to 195/50's most likely. Sorry the image is so small, not quite sure how to make it bigger.

If your budget can stretch - which I am hoping mine will - get BBS RS - these are 3 piece. I am planning on getting these soon hopefully. A certain turbo owner was kind enough to send me some pics of his car with BBS RS on it and I am completely sold :-)

In the mean time, I am painting my BMW 'bottlecaps' gunmetal grey.
