bought it from Z in Chatanooga. Great car, needs a few things but overall I'm very happy. Nice collection of receipts and the body is amazing. straight, and with only minimal rust. Need to clean up a few things and drive it a bit before I decide where I'm really going to take it. I'm seeing some cibies and some hellas, and zender front airdam, some recarros and a nice small wheel. Maybe dual webers and a cam...

Anyway, I'm pretty stoked and will have to find out when and where the Atlanta 2002 group hangs!!

I have finned alloys, not the wheels you see in the pics.

Actually, we seem to be pretty well represented with '02 owners here in Atlanta. We should definitely organize!

That's a nice '02 - can't wait to see more pics, and I love Polaris. Mine's a Riviera '74 with white racing stripes on the passenger side. There's another BMW2002faq.com member called Phocus who is restoring his white '74. I'm sure there are more on this board from the area as well.

They werwe one of the organizers for the 020202 event in Spartanburg. Some nice '02's in the group.

Rob Herdman kept the group going until he moved to California. I was able to go to a couple of their events.

I organized cruise/lunch events in Toronto over the past 4 years along with a few others (DAPBMW and JM1602) and will certain work on it again in Atlanta. Give me some time to get the house set up and iron out the bugs and I'll throw something together. Sounds like there is a bunch of interested individuals.

I'm thinking meet up, short cruise and late lunch with parts swap?

I don't want to steal anybody's thunder if there is somebody else who is already doing this. if not, send me an e-mail and I'll work up the details.

as spray can silver. it was malaga but at some point got a re-spray which turned unpleasant in several areas, most notable the trunk lid. A respray in Malaga is in the cards, but not for a while as appearances take a back seat to safety and functionality.

I noticed the Malaga engine bay after I commented about the Polaris color. I think it's cool that you plan on respraying the original color.

My car is in the shop right now, getting body work done and a new trans, but should be done in a month or so. I am definitely interested in getting together with other Atlantan 02ers, though!
