Ok guys, i'm done for now. I've spent the last 3 years working on my ti and it has sold. to fill the void, i purchased this very sweet, and VERY fast 535i. it has all the correct dinan mods, and has been given the best love its entire life. its not as agile, but it corners just fine with the dinan stage II suspension. plus, it pulls like a freaking freight train! anyways, i will miss the '02 world for now. the ti was my fourth '02 and it surely will not be the last.

good luck Darius with your M20 project. keep at it my friend! Benetton, good luck with your dual carb upgrade. its a worthy upgrade. and to everyone else, keep the oily side down!

if you see me, flash your lights!

Very nice E28! I went 02less for a while, and the E28 does do a nice job of filling the void, but you'll be back. I went without an 02 for a few months, and then bought my 67 1600 back from the guy I sold it to. This is my daily "beater" 84 533i. It has just a few mods. ;-)

You'll be back.

They ~always~ come back.

I went six years without an 02, but I still attended all the 02 fests.

It's not so much about owning the cars as it is the friendships.

Just because you don't physically own an 02 right now doesn't mean you cant hang out here with the crazies.

So very true. Even though I work on 02's all day, every day, and have the opportunity to drive them regularly, I NEEDED to have my own again. I had sold my old 1600 to a buddy, but he never actually took it home. It's mine again, although it won't be ready for Palo Alto this year. I'll be driving my 533i down.

Just because you sold your 02 and bought a 5er doesn't mean you have to say goodbye. Whether you have an 02 or not you are still welcome on this board...there's no requirment saying you have to own an 02, you just have to like them!

something about the e28's, I have yet to figuer it out, but they are just about the right size, with all the ameneties too!

Son has a super ETA (88 528e) and it's like driving a diesel w/o the smell!

Good choice, enjoy it, you will be back!

thanks for the encouragement, if you have any 02 parts laying around shoot me an email and maybe i can take them off your hands. Well it was nice meeting you and i hope to see you at an 02 meet in the future, or just at some hole in the wall off I-5 again.

Sometimes you're flush and sometimes you're bust, and when you're up, it's never as good as it seems, and when you're down, you never think you'll be up again, but life goes on
