If you type the VIN into carfax you'll get basic info on the car. It wont give you the history, etc. But you can find out what model it is. Try it.

Maybe something I post helps somebody get their car running. Something that they wouldn't have figured out on their own. Maybe I need a throttle spring for my tii and somebody just happens to have an extra that they give to me; I offer to pay for it and they say no big deal(thanks Steve J). I will remember it and I have. The reason for this board is an information, idea, and product knowledge exchange which builds a community. The community is what keeps this board alive. If this was the first ever request for a carfax, Maybe it wouldn't be getting asked by me, but it is not. If you want to contribute your two o2 cents , fine, but e-mail me because it does nothing but degrade the call for assistance by faq'ers.

There's your 20.02 back with my .02 cents to keep.
