those Saturn exhaust manifold studs with the allen head ends? Or perhaps another type of car they're used on? Can they be bought/ordered from an Auto Zone/Pep Boys store or are they dealer only parts?

"The threaded stud I prefer for this application is from a Saturn 1.9L engine.

This is the one with the torx feature on the end, uses an E7 (female) torx socket IIRC.

The threaded portion under the torx head is about 35 mm, the thread size is M8x1.25

Saturn part # 21006166, you can also find these aftermarket as well thru AUVECO, or any good automotive fastener house."
