Brake Fluid...?

Hello all, I am a fairly new BMW owner. I have a 2002 525i and I know it's because I'm an idiot but I can't figure how where I can refill or check if the brake fluid is low... I know it's gotta be under the hood somewhere and from what I get from the user's manual, it recommends that I take it into a BMW dealership. How can I fix my problem? Any info would help... Thanks.

This forum is for a model of BMW called the 2002 made in the 1960's and 70's. You could try roadfly.org where they'll have a forum for E39's.

FWIW, the brake fluid reservoir should be a small translucent reservoir with amber liquid in it. The brake system should be flushed every two years and that requires special equipment on new cars. Your dealership or an independent mechanic can do that for you.

IT'S ON THE DRIVERS SIDE -

at the base of the windsheild-

remove the drivers side(left)

micro filter housing and there

inside that compartment you'll see your

brake res.
