This is actually an '84 E30 318i pipe, but should be pretty similar. The heater hose is the standard '02 part but trimmed a bit and slightly bent from its natural run. The small hose from the pump to the tube is from the 318i. Has held up fine. Sorry, not sure if the 320i pipe is exactly the same angle at the heater end.

So, hose #1 should already be on my 74?

And whats #2?

Thanks so much for the fast response.

#2 is blocked-off on my setup but originally went to heat the throttle body (the other side of that went to the spigot near the back of the block, under the head). Sort of like how a water choke is plumbed.

Like I said, the '02 heater hose (#1) may not work the same with a 320i pipe becuase I don't know if it has the same angle there. If you had one to look at it would be very easy to compare with my pic, though.

Sorry to make you repeat - just wanted to be clear.

No apology required! I was just trying to be clear, too. I guess I come across testy in writing. ;-)

The 320i and 318i parts do look almost identical, though your pic is at a totally different angle.

Zenon
