I have a 74 2002, with new tires (6 months), new tie rod ends, new front wheel bearings. Front end alignment 3 months ago. My adjustment on my steering box has 3 or 4 more complete turns to go. (I have been adjusting the steering box by a quater of a turn every day for about a week) with no real results?

---==! DANGER - ACHTUNG !==---

DO NOT DRIVE THAT CAR !!

locate the worn, broken, missing, loose,

about to fall off parts before driving

one more mm !!

jack up fron of car and start feeling

for any play in tie rods, steering link,

idler arm, suspension arm bushings, loose

mounting bolts, struts, loose wheel nuts,

rusted out frame rails or subframe,

broken steering gearbox mounting

bracket/subframe??????

AND BETTER look at the steering box!

sounds like your 'adjusting' in the wrong

direction! -if it's too 'tight', that can cause the

steering not to center freely causing sever

wandering ...............?

Check the steerinf play while the car is stationary. There should be little to none at the center and a bit of play with wheels turned all the way to either side. BUt you problem is probably destried bushings or a loose nut.
