Rebuilding brake calipers, my o2 cents

If your doing your brakes it is a good time to check out your caliper pistons and replace the seals and make sure there is no corrosion impeding their function. I took a bunch of the little nuts that go to the brake line and threaded them and put a screw in. I then used them to block off all but one of the holes in the caliper and used compressed air to pop out the pistons(be careful they can come out with a lot of velocity, a small piece of wood between them can absorb some of the shock). With some very fine steel wool I cleaned out the cylinder bores, cleaned them with solvent, and then replaced the seals. The brakes now work like factory new. Hope this helps someone, it's a lot cheaper than new ones...steve
