de-smogging a '71 intake manifold

once again I bought something off of the internet that I thought I needed but I didn't, the block-off plate I will use the intake manifold out of the '68.

Just for academic reasons, I would probably block all those holes with bolts if I could get the connectors off. Or else use a bit of hose,a bolt, and 2 clamps for the the big hose to the air pump. Maybe even the little red tube that goes to that valve I could crimp off if the nipple didn't come out.

What is the right mod and is ther anything I should do if I remove the fuel evap. control? It's not like I have anything aginst the environment only the air pump always rubs a hole in the oil pan and the thing leaks.

Oh yeah it's a '71 car with California emissions. The "another woman for peace" car from the Santa Cruz mountains.
