I have a 74tii and always use premium gas. The guy I bought the car from recommended that I always add an ounce or two of lead substitute to the fuel tank on fill ups. Anyone else out there doing this? Is this good for my car?

lead additive not needed - 74 tii has 'hardened' valve seats .

"Valve Ressesion" does not occur.

I dunno about how things are in the States but the high octane ain't doin the job here in Japan. I have to retard my dizzy to keep the car from pinging at full load 3500 rpm +. If I only knew the Japanese word for toluene.........
