You might be confusing the idle adjustment screw (1) with the mixture screws (2). There is a very precise sequence you need to follow to correctly set up the carburator, and it can be found at www.redlineweber.com.

Do the weber stock settings and it is a good start. On the 32/36 counter clockwise leans it out (makes it rev), but you have to offset it with the idle screw. The weber link and stock setup is the way to go at first.
