Webasto folding top

Does anyone know a source for the plastic slider pieces for the Webasto tops installed on many European cars in the 70's? I have been considering having a machinist make them out of aluminum, but I can't even find a complete set of broken ones. Most of the ones I have seen were broken when you hit the brakes really hard. The front end dives and allows air to get under the roof. If you are traveling fast enough, they will snap and send the canvas and front rail flying rearward. Since they were installed on so many different cars, I was hoping that someone has allready had these pieces remanufactured.

Maybe start by contacting Webasto. They still make a version of the folding sunroof.
