Shoulda' bought a FAQ brace while they were still around. Decided $175 was pretty good deal for Stainless. Easy install and I am amazed that I can actually tell a significant difference, especially over uneven pavement.

Also, the front end doesn't go "scree-unch" when I go into driveways anymore. Well, at least not as much

I tried to put mine on today and it was 1/4 inch too long - they are sending me a new one.Otherwise, looks damn nice!

Leave the nuts for the brackets a little loose. Attach one end. Set the other end in position and smack it in and slightly downwards with a dead blow hammer, or a mallet and piece of wood. Mine popped right in with one hit, but it was more like 1/8 inch "too long". I think it was probably more "settling" of my 36 year old 02 than the bar being too long.

oh, and make sure you have the right size hex socket. I think it was 3/8 inch (Pep Boys!) but might be 9 mm too

Anyway, good luck. You'll love it when you get it in. Not Dramatic, but a noticeable improvment and slightly different feel through the curves.

Thanks - i tried the hammer thing - no go. People have suggested that i jack the car up from the center and go from there. I'll try tomorrow.

hey Paul!

the strut bar looks sweet. nice work.

i'm gonna hold our for the faq one, i guess. i really like the W&N "red" strut bars myself. the price is ok but it's the freight that skeers me.

looking forward to seeing you at anothe Blue Ridge Chapter event soon.

regards,

Randy Bryant

Wondering if the Ireland Strut Bar will fit between my washer fluid bottle and air filter? Any thoughts?

the bar will run right over the vent on the valve cover, so it shoudl not interfere with the water bottle. I'll try to post pictures after the weekend.
