i forgot that i took these pic's the day i got my dashcap and just found them on a flash drive in the bottom of my bag....i've installed & dyed my dash cap but don't have any pics of the finished product yet but will post some asap

i dyed it a different color...

the darker of the 2 colors, i used sems spray bombs....the color is camel

But to those that scrutinize way to much like me.. The texture is all wrong...

In my situation I would just save up and find a better dash(Fix it right) or get it restored. By Just dashes.com

But for a 90 dollar dash fix I could see how it could be appealing to some.

I used to think as you do but after seeing some incredible installations in some Porsches (locally) I am coming around. It is all in the installation and the coloring.

I have been in a few cars where you really had to look to see it and even then it was difficult.

Great for a concours car? Absolutely not. Great for a runner? you bet!

For the $$$ if you've got a beat dash thats crack-o-rama, looks like a good solution. I"m hoping the fit is as good as it looks. Of course around these parts dashes don't crack, they get mossy...

About your interior, to each his/her own, and I"m OK with the idea of a chevy colored dash at best, but that SHIFT BOOT, has to go!!! Egads! What did you do to it??? Nice leather ones are available they look like this...

And for being a anal 2002. I simply stated my opinion and brought for issues that would drive me nuts.

I also agree with big dog about the dash. Seems a bit sacrilege and it would drive me nuts. Not my forte.
