I do. I'm running the set up from an 80-83 320i. It works really well. Good gas milage, drivability, and very dependable.

If you are talking about the 80-81 320i set-up, I ran that after I took off the dual Webers. The big difference was that the car was more streetable, meaning you could just start it up cold and run to the corner store. Withe the Webers, it always seemed like such a production. Must be an Italian thing.

If I was going to build another 02 as a daily driver and originality was not a concern, I wuld use the CIS again.

Great cool. I'm going to be converting to CIS soon myself. I was going to go with lh jetronic but it was hard finding a parts car, and the 320i's are so abundent in the yards I go to its a now brainer. I'm going to use the late seventies type intake manifold for now, later on I'll tkae of the runners and mount some suzuki itbs I have. I plan to turbo my car and have heard that CIS can handle turbo power well and is pretty good to about 200 hp. Since I don't plan on going anything higher on my 2002 I think that will be perfect. As far as fuel distributor goes I'm thinking about putting in a vovlo 240 turbo type one on there. I'll have a megasquiurt controller controlling spark in the future.

When you go for a turbo, get the fuel distributer and flow meter from an 82 to 85 Turbo Volvo. They will supply all the fuel you would ever need.

Just so you know, don't try to use high duration cams with CIS. It doesn't like to idle with cams higher than a 292.

Look into Megasquirt. for EFI ides.

You can use the late 70's intake runners and the 80-83 cis with the oxygen sensor.
