I finally got the 5spd and rebuild engine in and was spinning it to build initial oil pressure. ---9.5:1 & 38/38--- After oil pressure was built I put in the plugs, attached the wires, and static timed it. Once it fired and i found the usual leaks -exhaust manifold@downpipe, coolant hoses, exhaust stud-, but after running for a few minutes I saw the carb gasket was wet; on the float side only. I know the manifold is flat, I checked it when I carved it out for the 38/38. Is it possible for the carb to have gotten warped from mounting it on a stock manifold w/ a spacer? ideas? Just needs to be replaced? Quit my bitchin'?
