i pulled out my heater valve and the black tube on the right has coolant/antifreeze coming out of it is this coming from the radiator and when the engine gets hot is it gonna spew everywhere?

im just gonna cork it off, clamp it tight and hope for the best.

The black tube leads to the head and the red tube leads to the heater core. There is another tube on the other side that connects to the intake. If you want to bypass the heater core, you need to remove the other side also and connect the two. Either use another peice of heater hose (3/4"?) or use a piece of pipe or a prestone inline flush adapter to connect the ends.

The heater core has an inlet and an outlet. There is another black hose about a foot further towards the drivers side that also runs through the firewall and connects to the heater core. You need to remove it from the heater core and connect it to the black hose in your picture... or just run a piece of heater hose from where one hose connects to the block to where the other connects to the head.
