The reason I ask is because a couple or years ago, I bought two 73 shells from someone, mostly for various sheet metal to restore my car. As I needed to tow them long distance, I asked the seller to cut the nose off the worst shell. But when I got them home, I realized that he chopped the nose of an otherwise pretty decent shell.

I could take the shell and weld back on the necessary pieces of inner fenders from another car that I carved up. The inner fenders were cut off about 2-3" back from the nose section, and it seems to be a straightforward job with some careful measuring. Would it be worth the work? It's too bad that the seller didn't cut the nose off the other shell which was obviously way too far gone to restore.
