I often wonder why they don't post prices too. I guess they have enough business to harbor the "if you have to ask, you can't afford it" attitude.

Don't you think the term STUPID is a bit harsh.

Who are you to come onto a public forum and bash a company or a group of people? Why do people think just because they are sitting behind a computer they can say whatever they want without regard to courtesy or decency.

You are the same guy who is just learning this right? Same guy who is looking for a 360 degreee cam, right? What are you doing that is so pressing that you can't spare the time to give them a call? Yes they should have prices online but with the dollar dropping like a led zeppelin the cost of many parts are changing daily. IE Schrick Camshafts. Many companies don't have teh time / resources to keep the information up to date. If you took the time to call Korman or visit they are decent people, I visited their shop once totally un-annouced adn Ray sat down with me and took me on a personal tour of the shop...yep that guy sure must be STEWPED.

It makes more sense for a parts company like Max to have an online store from a strategic business perspective then a shop like korman. If you were to actually call them you would realize that they will send you a parts price list via email. Maybe you would learn a thing or two.Stupid eh?

As easy as it may seem to you, many businesses don't have the capability to update their sites to keep all the prices current. All that takes time and money. I doubt they have a dedicated person whos job it is to keep prices in sync.

Having purchased stuff from them before I can tell you that they make it difficult to sell stuff to somebody out of town. I suppose if you live near them it's no problem - they probably have enough business going without selling to somebody beyond their town on a daily basis.

Are you an American? Most of us vote with our check books/VISA cards LOL. Pick somebody new, keep trying... you'll get it.

Ray Korman has given of his time quite freely to the East Coast 02 community. His parts business is a fairly small part of what they do there. Perhaps they could do a better job with the website, but that's their business choice. It is also your choice to go elsewhere. Korman has done quite a bit of work for me over the years. Most was excellent. He is also one of the best drivers on any track (even at his age). Before you start insulting someone with Ray Korman's credentials, I would like to know a bit more about yours.

A few years ago I asked Allen at Korman why they dont post prices. The reason that he gave was two fold. the first is to make sure your geting all the parts they think you need. The second reason is so they can price match, when you say on the phone DAM turner is X, they will beat it. Its both a good and bad policy, however its the way they do business. I have purchased from them over time, there price on braded brake hoses is prety good.

Not sure where to start. So much ammunition. I will try not to be coarse. No sense compounding your error! I do not have to defend the man. His experience, knowledge and success speak far more eloquently than I can in his behalf.

To the point of your price complaint. During the work he did for me he was constantly complaining about pricing changing from order entry for parts, firm orders I might add, to the invoiced number on the delivered part. Vendors are very aggressive today with price changes due to the currency fluctuations of the past 4-5 years (when you were in elementary school).

For the record, I'm a customer of Ray's. Through the experience of being his customer I came to admire and respect the man and consider him a friend. I don't have to defend the man but I am always willing to defend a friend from slanderous and peurile comments.

For your own benefit (you know, self respect and all...), don't you think you should maybe back off a little on your post? BTW, my posts have sometimes been coming up as a guest. This is Jack!

I will admit I have been frustrated in the past having to email Korman for prices on something, then waiting a few days for a return, sometimes never getting anything. Sure a phone call usually gets the trick done but I rarely have time to "shop" much less call someone during the day so online purchasing or at least pricing will win my business simply from a convenience standpoint. Sooooo, after posting initially I went to check out their web site, since I haven't visited in a while, and guess what??? A price list is now posted!!!!!!!

no need to get al defensive everyone, and yes he may be a nice guy but i am so ridiculously frustrated with this site. i try to compare prices online and it takes me a few weeks to find the prices for korman products. also i don't even have enough time to call them because i go to school and work. when i say "why is korman so stupid?" i don't mean the guy who started the site, im i'mlking about the bad setup and if it was set up better he would get a lot more busbusinessalso when i said 360 cam i wrote that on an airplane on microsoft word when i had been up for like 23 hours then i copy pasted it when i got to my hotel room, i was too tired to subtract 50 degrees but you know what im i'mlking about when i ask "how much power does a 300 cam give as aposed tapposedthing like 360 or whatever and if you don't know what imi'malking about thats your problem. i was just looking for someone who had installed a 292 cam or a 304 cam or a 314 cam or whatever and how much power they think it added.

people are so sensitive, i dont mean to offende anyone and for those of you that i did offend, just chill out and say they don't have the income to constantly update their site with accurate prices.

and why do you have to insult me personally, what did i ever do to you besides ask lagitlegittions, sure some are unintelligent but ive oi've had my car and my licence for 5 month so ii'mnot an expert like a lot of people on the FAQ.

Great for those who have unlimited funds, I'm sure, but I've never found Korman willing to "match prices". As has been said, vote with your checkbook if you care about price.

Looking at his price list for a 300 degree cam, that's a good price. As one not familiar with the quality of his products, who runs one? Thoughts? I'm tempted to call up and order one tomorrow.

MAHLE PISTON SET 02/E12 9.5:1 I have seen these for cheaper, but they are from a car parts store (that relies on books) and not a BMW specialty shop (that has experince when it counts). Plus, what do you get with ordering them from Korman? Pistons, rings, etc..?

First of all you walk in and post a semi-slanderous post regarding a very reputable business that a lot of people here highly regard. Yeah, I know your frustrated, but you have to choose your words carefully, your previous heading wasn't doing Korman any favours.

They try to appeal to as many people as possible in order to run an effective business. If you want to know the truth coming from another student, trust me dude, we're not going to be anybody's top customer anytime soon. Not to say they won't take good care of you, you just can't make everybody happy all the time. If that were the case, I'm freakin mad at everyone who doesn't include Canadian funds pricing on their sites! Let's be realistic.

And no, nobody's being graded here, but man, the difference between asking someone how their schrick 314 performs opposed to a 360 is like asking how their new factory spec rocket boosters are doing, and what kind of hp increase they saw. It's a waste of everybody's time trying to answer questions about parts that don't exist when you want finite answers. Show everyone some respect, click the search button, and do your homework before ya freakout.

And hey, no one is insulting you personally anymore than you were personally insulting Ray Korman. If his website freaks you out, don't deal with him, trust me, his business is doing just fine, so don't make assumptions about his e-business being poor. You don't get to be one of the top bmw tuners in the country by running a lousy shop...
