im am planning on installing my bilstein shocks and h&r springs next weekend. but i have 6.5" wide and 14" tall wheels with 205/60 tires. is the tire gonna wreck my fender if i go over a bump because if it does i will be forced to buy turbo flares. that would probably be cheaper than fixing the demage they may cause

measure the clearance between tire and fender now. Then determine how much the new springs will lower the car. Subtract the difference, and see if the tires are gonna be too close. If so, you have some options:

1. Roll the fenders (check archives for how to do)

2. Use 13" wheels/tires, or narrower/lower profile 14" tires

3. Install flares

Do the measuring first...it might save you some grief

if i just measured the distance that doesnt predict how far the shock will compress. when the shock is compressed due to a speadbump or something im affriad its gonna wreck something

and i have 2 inches by the way and the springs are gonna lower the car 1.25 hopfully[/i]
