Me I pulled my heaterbox and hopefully finally fixed the water leak coming from the heaterbox to firewall seal area and gave her a oil change...

Closed the garage door because snow was getting on it!

I'm getting closer to getting the doors together. I'm working on the window frames. I have them all apart and had the anodizing stripped. I polished them up and I'm gonna get them clear anodized. I'm not sure what to do with the piece that holds the base of the vent window. Looks like chromed pot metal. Out of all the frames I have, these are the best because the vent window pivot isn't worn out. But they are pitted and have green corrosion all over them. They polished up fair to poor.

Got some of the sun roof stuff in. Discovered that the plastic ends of the cables are cracked after I put them in. New cables on the way. What grease am I to use on the sunroof cables? I also made a new fiber board head liner thingey, came out great. You'd be hard pressed to tell it from new OEM. Started to glue in the foam insulation.

Also yesterday I finished fixing my Metric Mechanic Max stick sway bar (1") mounting blocks. I had two bolts in one sheared off in one and it was a real pain to get that sorted (drilled) out.

Mr. Kreeger used moly grease and wiped it off pretty well after several applications.

But your mileage may vary.

and the 73 is still awaiting his engine rebuild. But the 87 did get new plugs and an oil change this week. Used less than a quart of oil in 5k miles...not bad for a 140k car.

so I can do an exhaust manifold switch on Monday. Removing the Thermal Reactor from the Inka '76 and replacing with a cast iron exhaust manifold w/o any smog holes in it. I expect the engine will have more performance afterwards.

i finally got my Craftsman MIG welder sorted out. I practiced most of the afternoon to try to determine optimum settings, wire speed, travel speed etc. building up confidence to actually weld on the car!!! cut a couple braces for the heater box valve attachment (the plastic one that's typically cracked). just came in from cleaning a very neglected Accuspray paint gun i bought on ePay.
