I am thinking of going with this color once the car gets to that stage. The interior will be a light grey and the wheels black basketweaves. It seems like the mix would look pretty good, don't you think?

checked out Golf? It's fairly close to what you pictured, but with a little more green in it...and it's a factory color (I tend to be a purist when it comes to color, but it's your car ;-)

Looks great to me but I'm biased. I would pick Inka for your car since it is a later one.

What's the deal with your Cake avatar? That band rocks!

Sorry, they do look sharp, but still. Too many yellow and Orange 2002s with Orange being the least annoying of the two... Personally, when I find myself doing a shelll up resto, and a color change, I'll probably go with something similar to what I've got (Antharzit Grau Metallic) or maybe a nice brittish racing green.

Do something original! Maybe a nice shade of darker blue, or gunmetal black/grey/blue, or pearl white, can't go wrong with that!

With the grey interior I realize you're limited a little bit, better look towards the darker colors.

Finally, the #1 reason to not paint your car yellow, it's #2 in the cop handbook, right behind RED.

Good luck!

That said, why not schwarz? Grey interiors, black wheels.... I like it!

I've had a white car, a grey car, a silver car, and a Chamonix car...

My next one's going to be bright "hey look at me Police" RED or GOLF!

I guess that I'm too much of a purist when it comes to color - I would stick to a palette of factory OEM 2002 colors if it were mine. But it's your car, so do whatever pleases you since you'll be looking at the color every time you drive it. :)

Don't care much for that yellow, too Italian/Ferrari. I would agree with others and go for Golf if you want to go yellow. Not purely for reasons of an original 02' color, but it's just a more interesting color.

I won't totally align myself with the purists but I would concede that 'period correct' is my preference. However, I do love this color found on the 2002AD site. . .[/img]
