OffTopic kind of: opinions from 91' 318i owners

Anyone know of any good 318i websites like this one? Any 91' 318i owners have any pointers/input as what I should be looking for in a used 91' 318i. I am looking at one to replace my everyday driver, this one caught my eye:

AGREE'D - head gasket , front timing cover/'profile' gaskets fail

carbon build up in intake ports/manifold, throttle housing and

cooling system recall (should have been done ages ago),

otherwise an excellent E30 - Best Of Breed next to

a E30 M3.

At 123k miles good chance the gasket has failed and been replaced as they usually fail around the 100k mark. Other wise the M42 is almost a bullet proof engine. Sharing the same philosophy they really are a more modern 2002. I love my 91 318is!

coolant service performed reguarly.

Rear sway bar mounts shear off. (All E30s do that)

The front sway bar mounts on mine tore off too but I suspect a bad previous install. Ireland does make an upgrade part for it.

Engine mounts tear off at the subframe too, just like 2002s do. (All E30s, not just 318is) Subframes are availble new from the dealer. They aren't very expensive. Ireland makes reinforcement tabs for it too.

Timing chain tensioner piston need replacing every 60-80K miles. It's a simple 5-minute job, very similar to the 2002. Cheap too.

No valve adjustments. No timing belt.

Highly recommended. Much more tossable than a 325i. Engine loves to rev.
