If so, what pistons are you using? I want to put a 2002 crank in my black, but I do not know what pistons are compatible. Flats? Piano's?

piston must match HEAD bore and stroke

tii touring in 75, on the Abahn in Europe 1975 to 1978, 74 Red Baron 1986( still with my kids)

Green culb racer and Malga Auto left the family

Left w/ a 1976 beater/5 sp/AC in 2004 not on the road yet & Its All I have left

None actually. You'll have to get custom pistons.

Not sure, don't quote me on this but I think the 318i head has the largest combustion chamber of all the M-10 motors. If that is true, then all the pistons would work depending on the compression ratio your looking for. From me to you this is arm chair motor building. You'll have to look into it yourself. Custom pistons may be the way to go anyway. I think Metric Mechanic used the 318i head for their motors.
