Wow, 440 views and no flamers! Glad I Photshoped those ugly wires hanging under the dash! Hah! Don't believe everything you see!

OK, here are a few more pics to answer some of the questions from the 1st post.

Steering Wheel - I always loved the Turbo Wheel as it still has enough diameter to leverage the steering and yet the clean metal spokes that look modern.

Only problem is that it has this fake plastic semihard/spongy rim with molded stiching marks to add insult! Plus by the time you get your hands on a used one

it has been worn smooth and whatever spongy grip has been ozoned to armor all land. So I sent it to a Leather dude and he just stiched a cover and wala!

Better than new! I used Alan Gun Leather in FL but there is also someone in TX who does the same thing.

Stereo - Blaupunkt Berlin has the radio and volume controls mounted in a little cigarette pack size box mounted on a gooseneck. Factory option on a lot of old Porche's

and a Maserati model. Four parts, gooseneck, tape deck in dash, radio receiver and separate amp. Every 3 months one goes on eBay. Took me 3 try's to get it right.

Make sure you get all 4 parts! Also can find a lot on German eBay if you can play in Euro's. Sorry, don't know how to turn the image...

Speakers - Went with the BMW style ugly Blaupunkt 4x6 grill as it has that stock BMW look. Front kicks as my stereo guy said lots of room and easy install.

And we all know how upset Al Larson would be if we cut holes in the door panels. Tweeters are just little German 2" domes put left and right in the dash.

Kind of nice how the dash actually curves so the tweeters are aimed at your ears. With all the big speakers in the back the tweeters and 4x6's are capped

to just provide fill in from the front and not get blown out.

I used so see those Blue Chip radio remote control heads

in Mercedes-Benz during the late '70's, early 80's.

It was a popular 'upgrade' from the original BECKER radios

that we(at Benz dealers) used to curse.

love the CoCo mats ! Nice car .

Great Car! Nice interior! I would like to draw a little attention to the console face plate. AC and 3 VDO gauges. Nice!

Yep, Mark's face plate was absolutely superb. Can't say enough nice things about it, or the one's I've worked with since then. We wrapped it in the very same vinyl we put on the seat and door panel inserts.

Car looks great, David. Nice to see it, you, and all the fine 02ers down in Sacramento the other day. Wish I had more time to spend down there.
