Has anyone with a/c figured a way of upgrading from the mechanical fan to a primary electric 'puller' mounted behind the radiator? With the a/c bits behind the grill I no longer have room for a 'pusher' fan up front, but I have doubts about the space between the engine and rad......

ive had mine all together to mock it up and im running a pusher but i went with a larger (altho it may be thinner) condensor. i am running a 22x12 condensor thats about an inch thick and im using a spal 13 inch pusher. its tight but it works..

Yes i had to remove the horn mounting brackets but that was it, im sure it will be a year before my car sees the road at the rate im going. maybe longer

also i made the radiator opening wider for a curt ingraham radiator but i doubt youd need to do that if youre running a stock radiator

So far I guess I have a similar setup. I'm using a 19x12x1" condensor (althogh I had to trim off one row of fins from the upper edge to get it in) and a 9" pusher that is wired only to the a/c. Because the condensor sits on an angle, tapering back towards the bottom, I can't see any way of getting a second, high volume fan, fixed to the rad. I don't think the fan on the condensor would move enough air on the hottest days. Although the temp gauge has never pushed up to the red it does get pretty hot. After shuting down the engine the needle keeps climbing.....one question I have is that even with an electric fan operating after shutdown there is nothing to keep the coolant moving (except maybe fluid dynamics?), so how effective is the electric fan in this situation?
