Anybody out there running an electric fan with a wiring relay to a thermostat and a manual switch? Can you please tell me how you have your set up wired.

thermo switch was bolted into existing plug on bottom of bmw radiator. yours may have it may not,. i dont have the part number, but readily available at bmw. works good, i did not run the manual switch into car

but you may want to.

That diagram is wrong, the thermo switch and the manual bypass if fitted should be hooked into the wire to term 86, as its wired right now the relay closes as soon as you power up the car and the termo switch is l switching the high amperage circut this will cause the switch contacts to burn at somepoint, it should be in the low amp control circut so that it closes the relay when the fan is called for.

when i wired it up, it worked so i really did not think too much about.

i will have to re-wire mine. seems safer
