Now that the rains have finally arrived in full force here in Northern California, I'm reminded to spread the Rain-X gospel to all the world, because I love this product. IMO, it's the best upgrade under $10 you could possibly make to any car that sees wet weather. Follow the instructions closely, and don't forget to cover the wiper blades with the product as well...

Gene Kelly said it best:

"Seeing in the rain, I'm seeing in the rain...what a glorious feeling, I'm happy again..."

Be safe out there...

I'll have to give that a try.

Man we're just getting the start of another blower here in Southern Oregon too..

Thankfully that day or so with no rain let the rivers draw down some..

best of luck with the water!

I'm a Rain-X believer as well. A couple years ago, a friend of mine tried telling me how crappy it was, and it didn't work.....etc. I grabbed some glass cleaner, a couple rags, and a bottle of RainX. Did the passenger's side of his glass, and never told him. First rain after that, he was a believer.

There is nothing like driving through torrential rain and not having to use your wipers at all!

Oh... I'm a believer!

Rain-X is truly the shiznit!

I Second That!! You literally do not have to use your wipers!! Its unbeliveable! I use it on the side mirrors also and the back window to keep my vison clear.

They make a different product for the inside of the windows. I've used it once before with satisfactory results. But maybe I just didn't apply it very well.

with RainEx mixed with the alcohol to prevent the fluid from freezing. It works quite well even diluted in the washer fluid...

Around town it seemed to make the rain smudgy when using the wipers, even with new wiper blades. Maybe I did something wrong the several times I've used it over the years.

This is just my experience, I'm not debating anyone else's.

I find it's all the way you apply it. I wipe it on LIBERALLY with news paper and let it haze up. let sit for a few min and then polish with more news paper. Do that and it won't "smudge".

A little over 2 years back I bought a set of Piaa silicon wipers for my WRX. Those and the rain X are awsome. As a matter a fact they seem to keep re applying the rain X. I haven't put on rain X since last spring and it still works.
